Tucked under Auckland's Harbour Bridge lies the charming neighbourhood of Northcote Point. It is here that Chrissie and Charlie Seakins create simply beautiful pottery inspired by New Zealand, and have been doing so for over 30 years.
The simple yet effective designs are quintessentially Kiwi and many of their unique pieces have Muriwai sand (from our rugged west coast) suspended in the glaze. So, by taking home a piece of Pacific Painted Pottery you are also taking a piece of the land from which it came.
Most recently, Pacific Painted Pottery was selected to provide all the plates for a brand new eatery in Auckland's CBD. A wonderful achievement for such talented craftspeople.
Well done Chrissie and Charlie, we are so proud to have your pieces in-store.
Manawa Honey NZ was founded in 2011 by the Tuhoe Tuawhenua Trust, a land-based trust responsible for 9,000 hectares of bush clad lands about Ruatahuna. The Trust aims to sustainably manage the land and resources of their region for the benefit of current and future generations. At the same time, they are developing commercial enterprises that create employment for their people and growing their local economy.
Manawa Honey NZ has been established to bring unique honeys from the Heart of New Zealand to the world. As traditional gatherers of honey from their local forests, you can trust that Manawa Honey NZ has been produced with the greatest care and respect for the natural world in which we all live - all the way from the forest and the beehive to the jar.
We salute their initiative and support their commercially-savvy community.
Growing up on a farm in the Waikato, Ian Blackwell's father taught him about the value and versatility of timber. After sanding back a bit of old Rimu one day Ian fell in love with native NZ timbers. Rimu continues to be his personal timber of choice, providing a unique , striking and contrasting grain unlike any other.
A carpentry and cabinet making apprenticeship led Ian into a career working with wood. Developing his technical skills and gaining experience over the years only fuels a love of working with timber and as a result he has developed a hand finished range to be truly proud of.
Today Ian is lucky enough to call the rugged West Coast of the North Island home and together with the his production team, they are proud that all of their wooden products are lovingly created and distributed by our talented team in Riverton (30 minutes West of Invercargill).
Cut using the latest laser technology every product is then assembled and finished by hand. You can be sure that every one of our pieces has been put together with great care, attention to detail and the Pride of the South!

Cynthia Baur's love affair with aroma began as a child; her mum baking bread, Frankincense in church, freshly cut grass on a summer's day. It is, therefore, no wonder that after a successful career in the fashion business, Cynthia turned her mind (and sense of smell) to making exquisite candles and ambient home aromas for everyone to enjoy.
Living Light has recently celebrated its 18th anniversary, but Cynthia's passion for candles, aroma, design and craftsmanship continues to blossom and evolve with each new discovery she and her Golden Bay-based team makes in the world.
All of their candles are made from 100% Soy, Plant and Beeswax, and they have spent literally hundreds of hours testing for the perfect cotton wick to match the fragrance and wax combination - now that's dedication!
When you buy a Living Light candle or ambient product, be assured that it has been crafted in New Zealand with love, care and excellence.
